The Most Identifiable American Neo Expressionist Artists Film Studies Essay

Appropriation is defined as: The artistic pattern or technique of make overing images from well-known pictures, exposure, etc. , in one ‘s ain work. David Salle and Julian Schnabel are considered to be the most identifiable American Neo-Expressionist creative persons. These creative persons use appropriation to make new images from history, pop civilization and modern-day art. By borrowing imagination from a assortment of beginnings, their graphics is set apart from work by other creative persons. What sets Salle and Schnabel apart is that they do non merely put the borrowed images into a montage but they redraw or repaint the images taking their ownership of the objects. They non merely make an image that looks new, they besides create artworks the emotionally experience different as good. David Salle deliberately and carefully topographic points images that â€Å" mention to plan, to older art, to current political events, to foreign civilizations, to movie noir and, above all, to the slippery terrain of human dealingss, particularly those between adult females and work forces. † Salle ‘s pictures are most frequently physically divided into two or more parts. His pictures are officially big nevertheless emotionally intimate. There is normally a background that interacts with overlying images. While the background is slightly quiet or filtered, the overlying images are brighter and bolder. Womans are a favourite topic. In his abstract pictures the original context seems to be really vague. In other words, even if you know where the original image was taken from, it does nil to assist understand the significance it takes in his diversion of it. It can be thwarting to the spectator to digest all the images of Salle ‘s art. The imagination is a changele ss conflict between big and little, painted and drawn, one colour and another, shut up and far off. For illustration in Salle ‘s picture, Tennyson, he is able to get married together figuration with pictural linguistic communication. As kind of court, Salle often incorporates images and objects found in Jasper John ‘s work, including the name â€Å" Tennyson. † He besides uses a readymade object ( wooden ear ) to perchance cite John ‘s, Target with Plaster Casts † 1955. I instantly question the significance of the stick outing ear to the connexion of the rubric. The out of use letters across the picture perplex the enigma of the ear by spelling out the name of a Victorian poet. The wooden alleviation of the ear bids your attending over the picture of the bare adult female. The female figure lies in a field of a chocolate-brown xanthous colour. The colour field is interrupted by spots of greenish blue and ruddy which seem to border the out of use letters. The ear is placed in the upper right manus corner and is framed and highlighted by the bold spot o f greenish blue. The ear seems to be listening to the rubric of the picture. There is a sense of wrongness given by the bold picture of the poets name across the organic structure of the bare female. The first two missive of the rubric are painted different colourss. This suggests importance of the remainder of the letters. Is the ear hearing to the rubric as a whole or merely listening to â€Å" T†¦ Tocopherol†¦ † ? If so, how is it related to sensualness of the bare female? As with many other of Salle ‘s artworks the inquiries provoked are without simple replies. Salle appropriates images because he is attracted to them and insists that there is no narrative to them. He chooses images based by the temper of the scene and it is temper that he is after in his ain picture. Although his disconnected imagination does non ever seem to add up as a whole, he is still able to put an implicit in temper between the images. Much like David Salle, Julian Schnabel ‘s work draws on a broad assortment of beginnings and stuffs. Schnabel besides normally uses the technique of overlapping images and multiple canvases like Salle. Formally, his pictures are tremendous and over painted with heavy pigments. Schnabel chooses to picture images appropriated from bing art and the mass media which besides included attaching existent objects to his canvases. He seems to desire his pictures to do contact with the outer universe by presenting existent things and existent topics. His attack is non to arise against art of the past and alternatively to unite past manners. His combinative attack became his chief manner of picture. In contrast to Salle ‘s thoughts that self-expression is inappropriate, Schnabel ‘s holds high respect to non merely appropriation of imagination but besides to self-expression in his plant. He often features spiritual and, in peculiar, Catholic iconography and subjects. He wants to undertake issues of life and decease, agony, spiritualty, as in Exile,1980. Schnabel is drawn to the Baroque manner of picture and derives imagination from it. In the picture named Exile, a immature adult male is keeping a basket of fruit. This is a copied image from Caravaggio, Boy with a Basket of Fruit, 1594. The other piece of imagination is from a kid ‘s amusing book. These combined images are presumed to pull on the analogues between the Italian creative person ‘s isolation and his ain in downtown NY. Antlers are absolutely positioned on the canvas. The â€Å" utilize the antlers non to disjoin the surface of the picture as the home bases do but to add another distinguishable component of pulling to the composing. If cubism can be understood as the effort to capture 3-dimensional infinite on a planar surface, so Schnabel ‘s pictures seek to change by reversal that procedure. † ( 2 ) Merely as Salle was successful in impairing figuration with pictural linguistic communication, Schnabel ‘s success came with blending saintly subjects with a sign technique. Neo-expressionists as a whole are brave, bold and make bolding. Formally the pictures are typically big and are rapidly executed. They feel free to paint their ain desires, memories and frights. They detested the impression of painting â€Å" about nil. † Neo-expressionism brought back the romantic topics and traditional signifiers. Their ends were to make emotionality of narrative and historical content. Another common land shared between Italian, German and American creative persons is their ability to intermix tradition and invention, history and current events, emotion and look. What begins to put them apart is that creative persons tended to pay most attending to their ain heritage. â€Å" Peoples have withdrawn into their ain histories to seek to happen meaningsaˆÂ ¦ When Italians and Germans go back into their history, they ‘re traveling back to their strengths. A batch of Americans are traveling back to their beginnings excessively † ( 3 ) Although Neo-expressionism art can non be classified as holding merely one expression, the nationalities of the creative persons are reflected in their work. Anselm Kiefer borrows from Germany ‘s history, mythology and romantic symbols with work such as Nigrede, 1984. In the tremendous picture Kiefer expresses the centuries of struggle and desolation that occurred on German dirt. The canvas is enourmous in graduated table with a textured surface of straw and lead. American creative persons were besides bring forthing art along the same pathways nevertheless the procedures of allowing images were different. American painter Eric Fischl produced plants that distinctively have American mentions as in Fischl ‘s Dining Room, Scene 2, 2003. Transavantguardia creative person Mimmo Paladino, conveys the subject of life and decease through crude images by the usage of fables and myths as motives. For illustration in Baal, 1986, he paints an ancient Phoenician myth. The myths of his heritage are spirits that â€Å" have the signifier of the human being, and they control the life, aging, unwellness and decease of adult male with their mighty ruling power over nature. † ( 4 )

Graduation Speech College Is The Lock - 907 Words

On graduation day, universities and colleges grant their students with an official piece of paper stating that they have earned a degree of their interest. Most, if not everyone sees it as another form of money paper, because basically after the two, four or five years in college, this certificate is our primary income. The idea I see and hear a lot from the society and mostly from parents, that education will increase your chances of getting a job, provides you an opportunity to be more successful and be less stressful while making your parents proud. Summarizing these ideas, education is the key, therefore, college is the lock. At her commencement Speech in at Bowie State University in 2014, Michelle Obama questioned the decline in the will of African-Americans toward getting a higher education since 1800s till today. Michelle Obama stated that back in the days â€Å"Education meant nothing less than freedom. It meant economic independence, a chance to provide for their families†(1) Rather than pursuing a college degree, many of these students are either dropping out, staying home and playing video games are becoming footballers and rappers. They lost their understanding of the true value of education. We usually don’t just lose an understanding of something; there must be reasons that cause us to move away from something that valuable. The top ten companies included Microsoft, Hasbro, Johnson Johnson, Xerox Corp, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Intel Corp, and the Campbell Soup Company (Corporate Responsibility Magazine, 2015). Corporate accountability was measured in seven categories: financial, employee relations, governance, human rights, environmental, climate change, and philanthropy (Adams, 2015). Microsoft topped the list because of transparency, accountability, and excellent employee relations while Hasbro came in second because of their environmental commitments to reduce landfill waste by 50% and gas emissions by 20% by the end of 2020 (Adams, 2015). Corporations rarely make the news due to social responsibility but often make the front page because of corruption, fraud, or general lack of concern for the public and the environment. Mahatma gandhi man of peace Essay Example For Students

Mahatma gandhi: man of peace Essay Mohandas Gandhi, Whom most people know as Mahatma, meaning Great Soul, is one of the most prevalent images in the minds of those who think about great leaders, in the movement for human rights and non-violence. However, not much is known about his life as a child and his achievements in the early twentieth century. All the staging grounds in Gandhis stance towards non violence, human rights, and peace took place in the years leading up to the twentieth century and the first decade after. Gandhi was born in Porbandar, India on October 2, 1869. His family, which consisted of two brothers and one sister lived a rather good life. Gandhis father, Karamanchand Gandhi, was a government official for the state of Porbandar. His mother could neither read nor write, but was very religious and was known to go on extended fasts. Gandhis mother affected her young son at a very young age. In the state that Gandhi lived there were over two dozen religions. Gandhi learned to accept all of the different religions at a very young age. Gandhis child hood was not very different from that of a normal child, the only exemption is that Gandhi always felt a sense of responsibility and duty. When Gandhi was seven years old his father got a new job as prime minister of Rajkot. Gandhi continued his education and his life as if nothing had ever changed, until he was married at the age of thirteen in 1882. Kastura Makinji was Gandhis first wife. They were both the same age, and just like Gandhis mother Kastura could not read or write. She was the daughter of a merchant and like Gandhi lived a rather comfortable life. The two lived apart more than they did together, spending more time with parents rather than with each other. Later in his life Gandhi joked that he was a stupidly jealous husband, he said I must say I was passionately fond of her. Even at school I used to think of her, and the thought of night fall and our subsequent meeting was ever haunting me. I have already said that Kasturba was illiterate. I was very anxious to teach her, but lustful love left me no time (Gold 24).; Squire 2 Aside from the problems of marriage, Gandhi faced another huge turning point in his life when his father died. Gandhi respected his father Karamchand Gandhi deeply. Although Karamchand was hot tempered at times, he had a reputation of having high integrity. During his dieing days, Gandhi would sit by Karmchands bed for hours nursing after him and massaging his body. During the final hours of Karchands life, Gandhi left his side to be with his wife. This turned out to be a major regret in Gandhis life. His father died a few minutes after Mahatma left him. His wife was pregnant at that time and was sleeping in another bed room. Gandhi said, I saw that, if animal passion had not blinded me, I should have been spared the torture of separation from my father during his last moments. It is a blot I have never been able to efface or forget, and I always thought that, although, my devotion to my parents knew no bounds I would have given up anything for it, yet it was weighed and found unpardonable wanting because my mind was at the same time in the grip of lust (Dalton 147).; In 1892 Gandhi traveled to South Africa. It turned out to be a major staging point for his unwavering stance towards non violence and equal rights. Gandhi faced many hardships and obstacles in Africa. When he arrived in Natal he met with his employer and a week later was sent, by train, to Pretoria, Transvaal. .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .postImageUrl , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:hover , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:visited , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:active { border:0!important; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:active , .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86 .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .uad2b53797d3b770c92427b0554cb1a86:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Time Traveling Essay This is were his strife began. Volcano and Eruption free essay sample

Volcano Essay A volcano is an opening, or rupture, in a planets surface or crust, which allows hot magma, volcanic ash and gases to escape from below the surface. It is a raised area of land, which usually forms a mountain or hill. Volcanoes are generally found along tectonic plates- diverging or converging. There are four main types of volcanoes, dome, shield, composite cone and cinder cone, which are based on their shape. There are three levels of activity, active, dormant and extinct. Mt.Tambora, located on Sumbawa Island off Indonesia, erupted on April 10th in 1815 and is still known as the deadliest eruption today. It killed around 91,00 people. Mt. Tambora is a composite cone volcano and is still active today. The 1815 eruption consisted of mostly volcanic ash, which was so large it went up into the stratosphere and spread throughout the earth. Within seconds, ash, lava and molten rock (pyroclastic flow) started to speedily come down the volcano. We will write a custom essay sample on Volcano and Eruption or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The temperature of that was about 1,250 °C. The pyroclastic flow totally destroyed a small Indonesian town, just a few kilometers from Mt.Tambora. The entire population of the town was instantly killed. Before Mt. Tambora erupted, it is estimated to have been about 4,000m tall. The ? eruption reduced it to 2851m, and left behind a caldera with a 7km diameter. There were no really early signs of eruption but there were some a few days before. They did not have technology back then to monitor the volcano so people weren’t prepared and therefore thousands died. Though the eruption was short the long-term effects were huge. The main impacts from the Mt. Tambora eruption were environmental. The ash from the volcano was so large and spread so far it prevented a large portion of the Sun’s energy to penetrate through to earth. Therefore, the following year of 1816 was incredibly cold and known as â€Å"The year without a summer†. With barely any sun there were major repercussions. It caused the largest famine of the 19th century and major loss of livestock. Vegetation couldn’t grow and hypothermia was common, due to all these conditions around 71,00 people died during 1816. It even snowed in Quebec during summer!Indonesia is a LEDC country and it took years and years for Sumbawa Island to get going again. It is believed it cost around $56 million in recovery, which is a lot for a poor country. Once all the ash settled into the ground from the atmosphere the soil was fertile and was eventually good for growing crops. It is assumed that people were not happy with the abnormally cold weather but had to adapt and move on. It would have been difficult time for them. Mt. Tambora was certainly a very significant event in environmental history and is an interesting eruption.

Addicted 2 Football

Introduction to the Addicted 2 Football (A2F) Business Plan A2F (Addicted 2 Football) is small business that provides a photography and filming service. My focus will be on helping young talented football players to get a spotted or even a contract by a professional club.Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Addicted 2 Football specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More I will also be taking individual photo shots and team shots that will be offered to the family and friends of the players, high quality, average price and an outstanding service. A2F will start as a sole trader business. With Abiodun Amode the owner, he will also be taking all the photo shots on the match days and training nights. Apart from this, he will also buy all the companies equipment. All business ventures require adequate analysis and development of business plans (Barrow 2011, p. 11) Capital and Funding Sources The business will need a starting up capi tal of  £10,000. Mr Amode, will fund from the help of family members and friends. In addition, other funds will originate from Mr Amode’s secured bonds with the government. Other than this, the savings from his part time job in Marks and Spencer will also be a critical source of the capital. Other sources of funds will also be exploited to increase the capital (Hatten 2012, p. 33) Proposed Physical Location, Operation and Naming The Business will be run from canary wharf in London. I will rent the business office within this location. The company name of the business will called Addicted to football. It will operate in the office of O O consultant ltd. The operations site will not have retail store. This is mainly because the service shall not be required. Observably, a store orders for framed photos will be taken over the phone and via email.Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Le arn More Necessary Strategies and Market Orientation For me to start A2F I will need to talk to many personalities and groups. These shall include the local football teams and the current youth system in North London and East London. I have the best rate of young talented football players that make it to professional teams. In this regard, I will focus on advertising in Secondary Schools, colleges and social networks. The main objective of these strategies is to capture the attention of most teenagers who spend a lot of their time on social networks. Ideally, the present technological applications enable the youthful generation to spend their free time in the internet (Johnson, Scholes Whittington 2008, p. 55). The next strategy will be to start up a website and a YouTube channel. These two approaches will help in the marketing and advertising initiatives. In order to develop or realize more impact, a lot of novelty and innovation will be appropriate. For instance, I will put the edited filming work I have done on the YouTube channel and the photos on the website. Principally, the advertising of the filming will show the quality of the work I will be producing. Indicatively, this shall enable the site to show football at its finest. My aim is to make young footballers look as good as the professionals. Another strategy will be based on the equipment to be used. The equipment to be purchased will show the quality of the professionals. This service will not only be for young footballers. However, it will also be for semi-professional and adults. Nonetheless, I also want to work with the disable community as well. It is important to be inclusive because this is the nation’s favourite sport (Walsh 2011, p. 44).Advertising We will write a custom essay sample on Addicted 2 Football specifically for you for only $16.05 $11/page Learn More A2F Mission Statement The mission statement must be transformative, unique and innovative. Generally the mission statement for the A2F is, â€Å"BRINGING AND SHARING UNDISCOVERED TALENT TO THE WORLD OF FOOTBALL† Analysis of the Potential Competitors There are a couple of competitors. Some of these include the â€Å"football-talents.co.uk and fmscout.com†. Notably, these two companies do not really offer the service. Moreover, they have a very poor level of quality. These competitors also provide a variety of services. Some of the major services include acting as foot-balling agencies. Contrarily, my own company will provide a network for everyone to have access of the young upcoming stars. Pie Chart Showing the Market Share and Make Up Some Competitors There are several other potential competitors within the UK market. Evidently, UK is one of the countries with the highest number of football clubs. It is apparent that a significant number of established clubs have started this venture (Stokes, Wilson Mador 2010, p. 94). Importantly, they are also within th e formative stages just like in my case. This means that a proper strategy will provide me with a positive advantage towards an effective competition. Actually, this constitutes my fundamental objective for establishing the company. It is vital to analyze the present market share. Ideally, this initiative is a critical factor in strategy formulation. The pie chart below indicates the market share within the UK. Advertising Looking for essay on business economics? Let's see if we can help you! Get your first paper with 15% OFF Learn More According to this pie chart, football-talents.co.uk covers 24% of the market share; fimscout.com has 20%, while other football clubs share 12%. This indicates that about 40% of the market is yet to be exploited. The Main Objective of the Business My main objective of this project is to create a network for young footballers to expose and share their talent across the world. I also intend to create a network that stores all past memories of the players for future references, e.g. to show family/friends. My focus is to work on youth players under the age of 18. Suitability and Business Opportunities The opportunity for a foot-balling Network service will be very effective in the England. Ideally, the associated benefits will be explicitly rewarding. This is because the English FA have been criticized on the lack of youth British talent players making it to the top level of football in the UK. This is unlike most countries like Spain that have 80% of the players in the â€Å"LA LIGA L EAGUE† as native players. Perhaps, this may be one of the reasons for Spain being the best football nation today. This network will create away for the FA to invest and to see undiscovered UK talent. Additionally, it will help bring the right player through the youth rankings instead of professional teams investing in international young talented players. The operations of the company will allow me to charge a cheap price for the video editing, team and individual photos. I will not have the same operating expenses that other companies have. This is true since I will not be working from a store. Analytically, this means that I will not have a building to rent. Furthermore, there will be no leasing and no maintenance cost. The general implication of this is that there will be more capital available for the right photo equipments and accessories. Indeed, these basic approaches might initiate business success within the sector (Pinson Jinnett 2006, p. 123). Assumptions on A2F on Success as a Business Assumptions are fundamental in all business ventures (Kuratko 2009, p. 55).Right now in the UK, football is on a rise. Millions of pounds are invested in the different football teams. It is evident that UK has a great number of footballers. However, a lot of talent goes undiscovered and unnoticed in the foot-balling world. A2F is a network that will give people a chance to express the talent and view the talent the UK can produce. Every football player wants to be noticed and feel important. Therefore, A2F tries to notice every player on the pitch. It also seeks to major on the key moments that only last in the memories. Thirdly, kids like to see themselves play football. However, family members cannot make it in every game. Thus, this will be an easy way to watch what was missed. The market for A2F will be very busy during the months of August all the way to May. This is when the football season takes place for most age groups. The youth football population i s very popular. Match days are normally on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. This is the reason why it is going to be very important to invest in a motor vehicle. Some matches may take place in north London on a Saturday and I will have to travel to east London on a Sunday with all the equipment. The areas I plan to cater for include Highbury, Wood green, Tottenham, Finchley, and Brent cross. Observably, all of these are all under north London. Areas such as Canning town, Stratford, Barking, Hackney and Rumford will all be under the east London side. I believe the population of football wills enough for A2F to capture some quality. Because of the huge difference, the profit scale would be large because customers will be at the matches in all these different areas. Since no one else will be taking pictures and filming at my high level of quality, this will give a full competitive advantage over any competitors. Generally,  £10000 will be the starting capital and  £2000 wil l be used to purchase a company vehicle. The vehicle will be used for transport to match games and training sessions. Imperatively,  £4000 will be allocated for investments in the camera equipment while the computer cost will be  £1500. Ideally, these assumptions provide a platform for the foundation of the main strategy (Longenecker 2009, p. 101) The Three–Year Cash Flow Forecast With Profit The intended business is expected to make significant profits. These profits will be consistent within the first period of three years. However, there is need for adequate precaution because this is just but a forecast and projection (Stokes, Wilson Mador 2010, p. 124). More pragmatic and transformative measures shall be undertaken to ensure that the business achieves these projected profits. This shall be coupled with effective business and performance monitoring based on the invested cash as the references point. The cash flow indicating this level of success is as shown below. Year 1 (2013 Year 2(2014) Year 3 (2015) Cash at the beginning of the year  £10000  £15000  £20000 Revenue and Sales  £11000  £14000  £18000 Total Cash In  £21000  £29000  £38000 Inventory  £4,500  £4,500  £4,500 Vehicle, computer, camera and other equipment  £7500 0 0 Rent 0 0 0 Wages 0 0 0 Utilities  £500  £700  £600 Phone  £ 200  £ 100  £ 80 Ads  £ 2000  £ 2500  £ 3000 Miscellaneous  £ 2000  £ 1500  £100 Total Cash Out  £ 16700  £ 9300  £ 8280 Cash at End of Year  £ 4300  £ 19700  £ 29720 The 3-6 Months Cash Flow Forecast With a Loss The company is likely to experience significant losses. These losses might be incurred during the first three to six months of the operation. Therefore, it is appropriate to design a projection of cash flow (Dees, Economy Emerson 2001, p. 54). It helps to indicate the significant lose in the specified periods. The table below illustrates this cash flow. J anuary February March April May June Cash at the beginning of the Month  £10000  £8000  £5000  £5000  £5000  £5000 Revenue and Sales  £1000  £500  £1000  £3500  £2000  £2500 Total Cash In  £11000  £ 8500  £ 6000  £8500  £7000  £7500 Inventory 0 0  £1500  £500  £700  £1800 Vehicle, computer, camera and other equipment  £7500 0 0 0 0 0 Rent 0 0 0 0 0 0 Wages 0 0 0 0 0 0 Utilities  £500  £900  £1500  £500  £1500  £600 Phone  £ 200  £ 500  £1500  £100  £1500  £ 80 Ads  £ 2500  £ 5500  £3000  £3000  £3500  £ 4000 Miscellaneous  £ 500  £ 2500  £1100  £1600  £1500  £1400 Total Cash Out  £ 11200  £ 9400  £8600  £8700  £8700  £ 7880 Cash at End of Month  £ -200  £ 900  £-2600  £-200  £-1700  £ -380 The Breakthrough Graph As indicated, the business will make considerable profits. These will be realized during all the financial years. The months in which there will be high profit peaks include between August and May. The breakthrough graph for the company is illustrated below: Balance Sheet with a Retained Profit A2FCOMPANY BALANCE SHEET INDICATING THE INCOME AND RETAINED EARNINGS FOR THE PERIOD ENDED DECEMBER 30, 2013 2013 Revenue  £10000 Cost of sales Opening inventory  £7500 Purchases  £5000 Closing inventory  £2500 Gross profit  £5000 Operating expenses  £500 Income from operations  £1500 Net income before tax  £7000 Income tax expense  £600 Net income  £6300 (Deficit) start of year  £1750 Retained earnings – End of Year  £5750 Profit and Loss Swell The company is set to experience a very high profit swell. However, the loss swell is forecasted at minimal level. This is evident from the above financial statement. Generally, it is observable that the elevated profit swell is likely to extend to other financial years. This means that the business venture is very feasible (Birley Muzyka 2000, p. 78). SWOT and PEST Analysis Presence of adequate capital is one of the major strengths for the company. Others include application of technology, effective advertising methodologies and innovative approaches (Chell 2004, p. 56). Evidently, the application of internet as a means of capturing a specific target groups is critical. It offers the company a unique springboard for effective performance and brand promotion. Especially, this is likely to transpire amongst the youths and teenagers who are the highest consumers of social networking systems (Stokes Wilson 2010, p. 56). The observable weaknesses include lack of other human resources and high dependency on the major football seasons. Notably, not only a single person may be able to complete the stipulated tasks in the sufficient manner. Moreover, an overworked individual might develop withdrawal syndrome and negative attitudes towards the various work processes. Indicatively, lack of proper motivation leads to negligence and low innovation. However, people working within groups tend to develop more interest for their duties. They are also more motivated to enhance constructive competition (Korhonen Ainamo 2003, p. 112). The business has a large virgin market to venture. This is a significant opportunity. The company might also be threatened by stiff competition from other likeminded organizations within the market. The political conditions within UK are favourable. The government is stable and there is a great political will for small business and sporting events. The enormous love for football within UK provides a distinct and advantageous environment for increased growth and development of businesses (Hisrich 2010, p. 66). There is adequate security and legal support for upcoming and small-scale enterprises within the larger UK. Support is available and this varies in terms of financial and material. Particularly, the youth are allowed to access a variety of funding options. These also include suffic ient trainings on enterprise development and other issues concerning financial management. Lastly, advanced technological applications available within the market provide an impetus for improvement of service and advertisement (Allen 2012, p. 89). The company may use an array of technological applications to reach its target clientele. Internet use is one of the fundamental strategies that the company will adopt. Maximum output will be expected from this venture. Therefore, crucial measures must be undertaken to ensure the sustainability of the business.
